Financial Aid

Title IV Funds (Pell Grants and Direct Loans), Sallie Mae loans and Time Payment Plans are available to students who qualify. For more information, please contact the Financial Aid Office at (941) 761-4400, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 6:00 pm for an appointment.
Payment and Refund Policy: All Federal Title IV (PELL and Direct Loan) Funds received will go first to pay for tuition and fees. Title IV Funds are disbursed at ' the beginning of the school term in 450hour increments for a total of 900 hours in an award year. If qualified for another grant or loan, that payment will be disbursed at 300hour intervals. To receive Federal Title IV Funds, a student must be in satisfactory progress in both attendance and grades. If a student withdraws or discontinues, any refunds will be made first to the appropriate SFA program in the order specified by Federal regulations and then to the student, Any credit balance owed to the student will be made within 30 days of the student dropping (at least ten days after a payment check has been deposited).
Verification: The Department of Education randomly selects students applying for financial aid for a process called verification. It is our policy that a student selected for such verification must submit all requested documents to the Financial Aid Office within two (2) weeks. If information is not received within 2 weeks, the student will receive a notice that the financial aid has been withdrawn. If the results show that incorrect information was reported, all corrections will be made and reported to the applicant and awards will be recalculated. If a student commits fraud or makes a false statement in order to receive Federal Title IV Funds, this student will be referred to local low enforcement officials for possible investigation.
